this picture was taken. Picture was taken using a telephoto with the cow about 75 to 100
yards away.

This pasture shot was taken in the small
pasture just west of my main barn on 5/7/06. It was a cloudy, warm high humid day. The grass is
abundant and green this time of year.

Low hanging tree leaves make up a good bit of
my British White Cows diet during this time of year. This nice young cow is an Embryo Transfer
sired by the old English bull named Castleton Brendan. I weaned her first calf about 10 days
ago. Picture was taken about 4:30 pm on May 3, 2006.

This bull calf was born 3/27/06. I believe
his red points are stronger than any ever born here at Halliburton Farms. He was walking pretty
fast when I snapped this picture, I was between him and mama.

Picture
removed. We do not want to offend anyone and the breeder that sent picture for me to use as a
POW recently requested one of her pictures be removed from another breederr's website and that
is against my policy to encourage FREE use of any pictures on my website for the purpose of
promoting British White Cattle.

Grayson County, Texas annual livestock show.
Granddaughter Jamie in middle, won senior showmanship and her lamb was a member of best pen of
three. The Grayson County show is considered one of the larger shows in Texas, running a full
week each year. Students from 14 local towns enter and show 1000+ exhibits each year. Through
much hard work & dedication students from our small town of Bells (population 1100) has
exhibited the majority of the champions in most recent years. Looks like this year will be
another good one, so far, Champion of every Lamb Division, Overall Lamb Champion, Best Pen of 3
lambs, Market Goat Reserve Champion, Duroc Hog Champion, Hamp Hog Champion, OIC Hog Champion
and hog show is not complete as of this posting. Heifer, Steers, Rabbits & Chickens still
to come. In 2005 Bells students won every Grand and all reserves except one in every division.
The ag teacher says it is all because of a four letter word!!!!!!!!

This is a brand new ET heifer calf. Sire is Popeye, Dam is B&B 113G.
She weighed a whopping 60 pounds. We had 3 born within a few days, 60, 66 & 74
pounds. All are on heavy milking recip cows so they should grow
fast.

This is one of our brand new 2006 babies.
Spring time is by far the best time of year if you are in the cattle business. Checking the
pastures is always fun this time of year. This baby is only a few days old and already wanting
to get in your face to see what you are all about. Mama is off to the side telling him to get
away and chances are she was doing the same thing at his age.

These pictures were taken in the early
1990's. Crossbred calves out of a Fullblood Chianina cow and a Purebred British White bull. The
red or brown color on the bull eventually turned black, note his black pigment. The heifer has
pink pigment and she never changed color.

White Park Cattle
This week's picture comes to you from Australia and thanks goes to
Garry A. Hodgen, Inspector In Charge
(Stock), Dept. Agriculture, 3 Baron-Hay Court South Perth WA 615.
Part of Garry's
comments sent with the pictures. "After 14 years of experience with the breed, we had
the first assisted calving this last season with a breach birth. This is the first time
we've ever had to assist a cow or heifer, give birth. It was fortuitous that my daughter,
who is a vet was, visiting at the time. The other pleasing
aspect which was discovered to refute the often negative reference to temperament of the breed,
is how quiet and easy to handle they are."

Our drought is still with us and no rain in
sight. This picture was taken about 10:30 am on 2/8/06. Under normal conditions this cow would
probably have to be swimming to be in the same spot and as you can see the water level is still
several feet below her. Green trees are Cedar and other trees are pecan.

Wanda Blevins. Stuart's comments!
Pepper (in front)seems to be saying, Put down that camera, turn over
the trough and put some feed in it! Behind the trough is a British White- Black angus baby with it's mama.
Our herd has caught the eyes of our local art council. They are planning to photograph, then
paint several.
