This handsome young fellow is one of my American Fullbloods that looks like he is going to have a lot of what we are looking for in our cow herd. He is 5 1/2 months old in the picture. How about that winter hair coat and in sunny Texas?

20 January 2005
She's just a yearling and already over 1,000 pounds. One of our bigger yearling heifers. Sired by our American Fullblood bull, Rito. A recent cattleman was visiting and she really caught his eye, in fact he said she was the best looking British White he had ever seen. This picture was taken on January 19, 2005 about 4:30pm.

13 January 2005
This cow is half British White and half Tuli with a nice 3/4 heifer calf sired by Hallliburton Explorer. Calf is 10 days old in picture,  a nice warm 70 degree day in January 2005.

6 January 2005

This nice group of bred heifers were photographed on December 29, 2004. All are bred for a short calving season to start about February 15, 2005 and end about March 10, 2005. Heifers are owned by Joe Bigbee. Joe invited me to come by for a pasture tour during the holidays and I couldn't resist taking my camera along.

30 December 2004

Something I found on Christmas eve. Sure enough, it's in my neighbor's Registered Black Angus pasture. A pretty nice heifer if not graded off for color and only six days old in picture. There are also A.I. stories to be told about this calf but I'll just say I was the technician and it was my only success. Calf belongs to Bill & Betty Stone, talk to Bill for the rest of the story

23 December 2004
This picture was taken yesterday about 2:30pm. It is unusual for us to have snow this time of year but the cattle seem to be enjoying it. Tree limbs are weighted down but they are still after their snack food in the tubs.

Thanks to Jimmie West for helping get the word out on British White cattle. The above ad is being run in a Southeast Texas Newspaper. Can you imagine the positive results for British White Cattle if everyone consistently ran an ad like this in their area?

9 December 2004

This calf bred by Jimmie West. He is a typical example of the quality of the many animals she currently has for sale.

Picture taken 11/10/04. One of our younger E.T. heifers. Born 7/24/04. We think she is a pretty good calf.

1 November 2004

4 November 2004

He has 4 generations of purebred ancestry on both sides. talk about a fancy herd bull prospect, just look at that picture. This bull is listed for sale on the Beef Cattle Classified page

Three weaning age heifers produced by Artificial Insemination from imported semen. Back Northwest corner of Morris & Jean's house in background. Picture taken early morning on 24 October 2004.
Morris does his own heat detection and A.I. work and has for 20+ years. Some folks might say he must have got lucky this time because those heifers all look to be about the same age. It's really easy though when you have the right timing with a good technician using good semen. All three of these heifers have had both sire & dam parentage confirmed by DNA testing.

Jamie Halliburton on right with Breed Champion Lamb at 2004 Grayson County, Texas Fair in October 2004.
Jamie is Morris and Jean's granddaughter.
No it's not a British White but we are a bit proud of Jamie and her Lamb. Second time shown this year.

14 October 2004
A young really high performance bull calf from the UK provided by Nell Matheson.

The bull is called Silvanus (by Rockley Caesar out of Dadley Sachertorte).  He was born 26th February 2004 and weighed 345kg  (760 pounds) when weighed near the end of September 2004. Talk about weaning performance, at 760 pounds actual weaning weight in USA terms he would have a 205 ratio of at least 125 in most herds.

An Awesome Performance At The 2004 Texas State Fair
Daisy & Heather - Heather & Daisy

Standing at attention in the middle of a very large show ring all by themselves while the announcer in a very clear and loud voice, with loud speakers strategically placed in all the cattle barns and around the State Fair Grounds, was making a great spiel about British White Cattle and how this was the first time a British White had ever been shown at the Great Texas State Fair.

30 September 2004
A really nice looking group ...............of cows.
Steve Montgomery's pasture near Guthrie, Oklahoma during BWCAA annual meeting days. Why do the cows on the other side of the fence always look better? My question. My wife's answer. Did you see how much feed Steve gave that one animal at his house for the morning feed, maybe it's the size of your feed bucket.
